When it comes to digital marketing, videos are one of the most powerful resources. They have a different effect on people that makes them so effective as a marketing tool. We will continue talking about Video Marketing. More specifically, strategizing video content.

Strategizing Video Content

Admit it, when you surf the web, you look at videos more often than photos. In fact, around ⅓ of everyone’s online activity is spent on watching videos. So, it comes as no surprise that 87% of marketers take advantage, and use video as a marketing tool.

Why are we so attracted to videos? Well, for one, they can have a substantial moving effect on viewers. In the past few decades, everyone used to go to the movies to see moving pictures. Nowadays, we have smartphones and tablets to do that anywhere, and anytime.

It’s not a secret that videos provoke an emotional response from people. This is why funny, inspirational, shocking and heart-warming videos often go viral online. Videos are also shareable, so it’s easy for people to spread the word.

This is what makes videos an ideal tool for experiential marketing. It gives the viewers the chance to encounter something close at hand with the onscreen actors. Viewers can also contemplate how they would go through that given situation. It’s an emotional ride.

For marketers, videos help demonstrate a brand’s personality. It helps set the brand’s tone and style. With all these in mind, there are still a lot of people who think that it is expensive to produce online videos.

Is It Expensive To Produce Online Video Content?

To most people, creating a web video is challenging to produce. However, that is simply not the truth. Most video contents are not expensive, and they are not that challenging to produce. Just take a look at the successful home video bloggers – or vloggers. There are millions of them in today’s market, and they are proof that video content doesn’t need to be expensive, or challenging to produce.

This is because it is possible to film web video content at a lower cost and quality compared to content made for TV and the big screen. When making web video content, you can use home video equipment that is readily available.

There are also plenty of affordable high-quality cameras in the market. These cameras can help you create quality content production. However, for most people, these high-quality cameras are not a necessity. In fact, most marketers and vloggers started by using simple smartphone cameras. This is because most online viewers don’t necessarily expect a large-production offering.

Video Content

Video Ads

On the other hand, we have video ads. As the name suggests, a video ad is an advertisement shot and formatted for web use. Some brands use their own existing TV commercials and share them online. Some create custom ads that are made specifically for the worldwide web. We will discuss more about video ads in our next article. In the meantime, let’s talk about going viral.

Viral Video Content

Video marketers dream of getting their video content viral. “Going viral” means that the content circulates from one person to another through the internet at an increased rate. As a result, it helps attract an aggressively developing audience as it tracts popularity.

The key to getting viral is using social media. In social media, each user is linked to an immense network of others. This means that everyone can easily share content with everyone else.
